    Filament clog

Ok I've seen posts about removing filament from your extruder with a drill bit, but I have some questions on it.

How far do you insert the bit? Corded or cordless drill? Max rpm or as low as possible? Full drill setting or lower tension?

From my understanding if you disconnect the feed tube you should be able to go all the way through, but I don't think you're actually supposed to attach it to a drill as you may bore it out larger as the sides come into contact with the inside of the extruder. You should disconnect the feed tube or direct drive, heat it up to temp, and carefully use the bit by hand to auger out any stuck filament.

When it's put together there's no access to the extruder or feed tube. To get that far into it I have to dismantle it. Not sure if I'd be able to heat it properly with it dismantled that far.
