  • I have just upgraded one of my Four Flashforge Dreamers to an A4 print bed (300 x 210) - they were A5 (220 x 150) as standard. a tiny bit of firmware tinkering & printing a few small mods to support the bigger bed -
And Bloody marvelous - problem solved. I remover one extruder from the X Carriage, fed the extruder as if a Bowden Extruder from above - incl the elec connections... & its bloody brilliant.

A used FlashForge Dreamer can be had on ebay for as little as £400....

A thermo couple device is polarity sensitive, try connecting the wires the opposite way round.
The FF Dreamer & Finder use a K-Type thermo couple. the wires are made of specific dissimilar materials that generate a voltage when heated. The Mother-Board detects this volttage change & works out the temperature.
All thermo-couples are polarity sensitive, & iff connected the wrong way round they will give some very odd readings indeed.
Note also that there are many types...

  • FlashForge Dreamer (powerspec ultra 2.0) Extruder Problems

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, and came here because I couldn't find an answer to a problem I've got through google searching... Maybe I just don't know how to ask google the right question, or maybe its a simple problem most people don't need help with...

Either way, I have a Powerspec Ultra 2.0 (Flashforge Dreamer in a Flashforge Creator Pro case), and I recently made some upgrades to it. I installed the Microswiss all metal hotend on the Right extruder with a hardened steel nozzle,...

  • New Flashforge Dreamer clogged after one print (right nozzel)

    Hello all,
I'm new to the 3d printing so i apologize if i sound foolish. I purchased a Flashforge Dreamer and got it yesterday. I printed the test cube immediately and had no problems. Then i printed a batarang for my son. After this the machine stopped allowing the material through the right nozzel. Dont think it is clogged. It wont let be print with the left extruder. Very frustrating. Tried calling FF directly but went straight to voicemail that was full. Not expecting much help there....

    Flashforge Dreamer and Cura

I want to ask, Anyone know if Cura works with Flashforge Dreamer?
If yes, is there a template for the printer that I can add to Cura?
Because I didn't find Flashforge Dreamer in the list of printers in Cura.

    600 x 400 heated bed x 500 tall - need some G-Code assistance plz ?

Little project for a print job for my employer/friend...

I've gathered all the mechanical goodies, have 3 donor machines for stepper motors, drives, extruders, bought 4off 300 x 200 heated beds + controllers, 5 power supplies, huge sheet of heat resistant glass, 600mm lead screws, 8mm shafts, motor mounts, belts, tensioners etc...
Will be using a redesigned inner corner that supports the head carriage...

    FlashPrint Alternative

My FF Dreamer uses a dedicated slicer called Flash Print...
works well... but I would like the infill section to be wiggles rather than hexagons or rectangles.

My CTC machine uses infills as wiggly lines that are gentle on the machine even at 110mms print speed & faster than Hexagons..

so, I like the idea of using some thing like MakerWare tgat infills with wiggles...
also, flashprint is VERY basic & although straightforward it has many limitations.....

  • Double the print speed of your Dual-Extruder Machine.

    OK Guys & Girls,
How about a little DIY project that will speed things up a bit...
    Here goes.....

I have 4 FF Dreamers... generally I print at around 100mm/s...

My machines are getting VERY busy, so a chat with another honorable member here, & a Faux/False motor arrived - (STL ATTACHED)
The L/H motor was removed from the Dual X Carriage, substituted with the printed offering & re-assembled. (Pictures attached)

    **I disconnected...

    Flashforge Dreamer removable build surface.

Does anyone know a good removable surface for the flashforge dreamer?
Is there something that is not thick and not expensive?
I saw the Printinz removable surface but it is thick.
The Buildtak flexible surface system is expensive.
Is there something flexible, thin and not expensive?
I searched for PEI but I found surfaces that stick to the buildplate.
It doesn't have to be magnetic, I can add clips to hold the surface, right? Or the clips can melt?

Cura should work with any 3D printer. Its the matter of, if you put in the right specs. Some may or may not work with the "Print with USB" option. If you put in the specs from here: http://www.flashforge.com/dreamer-3d...er/tech-specs/, Cura should work fine with it. If you want a pre-configured profile, there's a thread on Thingiverse with it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/groups/f...al/topic:11333. Hope this helps.

  • Flashforge Dreamer Expansion to A4/320×220 bed

I got 4 Dreamers, 3 have logged over 2000 print hours, the other 2500 hours in the last several years..
One build plate died a week ago, so I replaced it with a 320x220 rubber heat mat & glass plate, 3 printed feet to fix to the original mounting locations, the addition of a solid state relay to switch the 220v mat... hooked to the 24v bed output to switch the relay & a thermocouple under the mat.... and YAY a decent sized build platform now.

    The extruders are fed from...

The FF Dreamer arrived yesterday and my 14yo son set it up last night, he is so excited. I don't know who is more excited, him, his grandad who bought it for us or me? Even my wife and daughter are interested in teh new machine.
