    Help with Ender 5

    Hi,

First off I am a complete newb to 3D printing so please excuse what will undoubtedly be a post about dumb problems but I am so disappointed/frustrated/stumped with what to do. and after receiving no help from Creality themselves I have decided to reach out for help.

    So here is my story.....
I recently (Feb 2020) acquired a Creality Ender 5. after unboxing and following all steps to set up the printer I decided to do a test print which worked perfectly and I was...

  • Ender 3 Pro Extruder Stepper debugging - sanity check?

Hi. New member here with a real head scratcher. I'd really appreciate any advice.

I have an Ender 3 Pro, sold by Sain Smart, which I believe is an OEM of Creality. It seems to be identical to a Creality unit, other than the printing on the metal and some graphics on the LCD (presumably custom firmware).

This all started with problems with the filament not feeding smoothly such that the extruder stepper would slip back with a loud "chunk". I determined that the...

Ender 3 Pro - proper assembly instructions

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to 3d printing, learning a little. I am familiar with setting up x-y-z tables in industrial equipment. I bought an Ender 3 pro, and while It was obviously a cost cutting design, I am very pleased with what I've got for the money. The biggest short coming I found was with the instructions. While the assembly process is not hard, there are a few things that should be done right. Given that, I decided to add my own supplemental instructions to go along with the "simple...

    3D printing rookie seeking advice

Hello All. I'm brand new to this. I just got my first 3d-printer, an Ender 3 Pro, about a week ago, have got it setup and running. Now that I fixed the assembly instructions in my first post here, I have some questions about using this thing. I bought this with making structural objects in mind. and have been able to make gears of 1"-1 1/2" with around 0.005" runout, Pretty darn good for a machine that's yet to really be tuned. But, as was destined to happen, I have run across some...

  • Hey Nigel, well I finally ordered the new board and I expect I'll get to install it today, so I'll post the outcome hopefully this evening. I ordered the: Creality Original V1.1.5 Motherboard Silent with TMC2208 Stepper Motor Driver for Ender-3 /Ender-3 Pro/Ender-5

  • Ender 5 Pro - Can't Connect to PC for BLTouch Firmware Update

Hello all, this is my first post. I recently picked up a slightly upgraded Ender 5 Pro from amazon as my first printer. I have it set up and after some belt tweaking and bearing adjustment it is printing very nicely. I want to ad the BLTouch, and have the Creality kit labeled for V1 Mainboard. I have several questions, and I can't find any specific solutions to the Pro version, which I think has built in bootloader.

First, the kit comes with a USB ISP cable and interface, but I'm not...

    Hello from Washington as well

    Hi all,

I'm new to 3D printing and recently bought an Ender-5 Pro to play around. Previously, I printed with PLA without issues but I switched the filament to ABS for some reason now and found it is harder to work with. I was hoping to get tech support just in case there is any further issue. Nice to meet everyone!

    CR10s Pro V2 vs Ender 5 Plus

I see the Ender 5 Plus has a cubic design and a slightly larger print bed. But the CR10S costs more. Are there any other differences between these two? Can't figure out which one to buy ;-)...

Brand new Ender 5 pro Disaster

    Hello everybody.

I received a brand new Ender 5 Pro a few days ago. I assembled the printer and leveled the bed and tried a test print. The first problem was that the z axis moved only a half of what it should have moved. I managed to fix that with information on internet and adjusting the steps/mm settings that were off. After that I managed to print a perfect benchy. That was one of the few prints I managed to print successfully.

During next 10 prints at some random point...

Just finished assembling the Creality Ender-3 Pro.
Going through the "Quick Start Guide" from the SD card.
    Finished step 4, bed leveling.
Step 5, Software Installation. Two versions of Cura included, 3.0.2 and 15.04.3. ... and after a Google search, it would seem that version 3 is NEWER than version 15. WTF???
Oh, and I'll be ordering an auto-leveling kit today!

Ender 5 pro extruder problem, skipping steps

    Hello!

I am new to 3d printers and this is my first printer. Last week i have bought Ender 5 pro and from the beginning i have problems with extruder skipping steps/missing layers. It was occuring at random times. Sometimes at the first layer, sometimes after 2 hours of printing.

I have tried adjustment of temperature, speed of printing, bed levelling, tried different brands of filament, checked for any jams and the problem is still occuring. Today i checked how the...

Selection of part in Creality Slicer

I just got an Ender-5 Pro from Creality, and its great. Using it often but have an issue, how do you select a part on a bed with multiple parts?

    Example:
    • Say my print bed holds three objects, A, B & C inserted in that order
    • I can move 'A' around here just fine but am not able to select B or C to move, how is this done?

Here is my print bed for ref - ...

Fan problem with new Ender 3 Pro motherboard

As I noted in another post, I tried upgrading my Ender 3 Pro with a "silent" motherboard, version 1.1.5 to replace my existing version 1.1.4 board. One issue I found is that the two fans connected to the "FAN" connectors, the chassis fan and the fan blowing onto the printed object, run for a few seconds at boot up but then do not run at all during printing, regardless of the set fan speed. This is different than my old board.

I did notice that the new board is running...

    Beginner Printer

    Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a 3d printer as a beginner. I'm brand new with 3d printing but I want to have a play around.

I've had a look at a couple of the cheaper ones such as the ones listed below but I'm not sure which one is the best or if I should be looking for something else maybe a little pricier?
I didn't find these listed in the sticky so dunno if they're any good.

    Thanks....
