Hello all,
I am fairly new to 3d printing. I have a small business in the US where I am considering moving a couple of my products (and adding a couple) from molding (produced in china) to being produced via a small 3d print farm. This gives me the option to allow endless customization. I have been able to produce my products using my ender 3 with the basic ender 3 direct drive upgrade (wish I would have got a dual gear drive one in hindsight). On the ender 3, the products take between 4-8...

110 bed heater
I’ve got an old DaVinci Pro 1.0.
I got it when they first came out. I pre-ordered it and got a discount, so I think I have one of the very first ones.
It has been a good printer over the years. I have done some mods to it and some repairs. I am still on the original motherboard and firmware.
I have been dealing with the warped print bed from day one and have learned to live with it - get around it.
Right now my biggest complaint is how long...Last edited by sdtag; 02-11-2024, 03:00 PM.

Problem: Ender 3 V2 Destroying Prints
Hey Everyone,
Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Also I apologize in advance if this is the wrong location in the forum.
I should probably start with saying that I have been printing since early 2017 and my first printer was a BIBO V2 Dual Extruder. I’ve learned a lot, and have gotten really good at dialing in settings and getting great prints, but I’m by no means an absolute guru.
With that said, I have been having a very peculiar...

Ender 5 Pro - Can't Connect to PC for BLTouch Firmware Update
Hello all, this is my first post. I recently picked up a slightly upgraded Ender 5 Pro from amazon as my first printer. I have it set up and after some belt tweaking and bearing adjustment it is printing very nicely. I want to ad the BLTouch, and have the Creality kit labeled for V1 Mainboard. I have several questions, and I can't find any specific solutions to the Pro version, which I think has built in bootloader.
First, the kit comes with a USB ISP cable and interface, but I'm not...

Ender 3 pro + mods or Ender 3 v2
0Ender 3 v20%0Ender 3 Pro + mods0%0Hello I would like to buy my first 3D printer for home hobby use.
I am thinking about Ender 3 Pro vs Ender 3 v2.
I saw a lot of videos regarding this two which makes it for me even harder to decide.
I know that v2 has few upgrades, but lot of them can be added also to the Pro version like belt tensioners, drawer, fillament loading knob, glass bed, silent board, display and so on.
I also saw that someone reported that he received Ender 3 Pro already with newer 32-bit 4.2.2...

Hellmut
I am joining this forum to find people from whom I can learn. I am 64 years old and have the hobbies of naval modeling and electronics. I have recently statrted to build a dust absorption system to prevent my workshop to be filled with dust when operating my disk saw and my router. A friend of mine printed some pieces for the dust collection system and so I did appreciate the possibilities I have in my hobbies if I had a 3D printer. I purchased the Creality Ender 5 Plus because of 2 reasons. One...

Best Replacement Bed for Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus
I am considering buying a replacement bed for my Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus. I am debating whether to buy a Magnetic Bed (like the one that came with it) or a Glass Bed. My most recent print seems impossible to remove, making the Magnetic Bed I have now almost useless, which is why I am considering a Glass Bed. However, no matter what type of bed I get, it needs to be the appropriate size for the Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus (300x300), which is larger than other models such as the Pro. Any suggestion...

CR10S Pro Issues with Latest Cura w/ OctoPrint
Hey everyone!
I've been running my Creality CR10S Pro with Cura and OctoPrint for coming up to two years. During this time I held off upgrading Ultimaker Cura because "it just worked". With my security mindset kicking in I decided to upgrade Cura to the latest version last week and I've run into a big problem. Since the upgrade the homing process sent after slicing from Cura has tried to go past the boundaries on the Y-axis. When it tries to home past it, it obviously causes...

Ender 3 Extruder Issue
Hello All,
New to the forum, and new to 3D printing.
I’ve had my Ender 3 up and running over a month, and up until now the prints were great, even with a bigger job that ran over 8 hours.
Then all of a sudden I start getting what you see in the photos. The extruder gear also stared clicking/skipping. I replaced the hardware on the extruder with an aluminum upgrade but no change. It almost seems to me like it’s either too hot, though this temp has been...

Artillery Genius Pro X axis wobble
I am fairly new to printing. I use an Artillery Genius Pro, and it has performed well for several weeks. Now suddenly when making a straight line along the Y axis, the X axis will wobble. I have checked all belts and fittings and everything is good. The stepper motor is actually pulsing, which is causing this. I am using cura slicing software. Any ideas / suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Update, my ender 3 V2 at work is doing the same thing. It's using the creality version of cura...

I have 3 Prusa Mk3S and 1 Prusa Mini. I have happy with them all. I own two Crealitys and two Anycubics.
I am not happy with the Creality Ender-3, but the Ender-3 V2 looks promising. I have pretty happy with my Creality CR-10S Pro.
My Anycubic Predator and Anycubic Chiron are not bad. I would choose the Chiron of the two if I have to choose again.
Buy a printer you can afford. I would recommend the Prusa over all others. It is a Cadillac or Mercedes...

Ender-3 Pro BLTouch not retracting + LCD issues
Good morning all
I 've recently installed the BLTouch V3 on my Ender-3 Pro, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.
I've triple checked all of my connections and I've paid close attention to the installation videos on YouTube from Teaching Tech & Creality.
When I power on the printer, the BLTouch probe pulses a few times and the LED stays red, but the probe does not retract when an obstruction is detected.
It would have crashed into my print bed...

Ender 3 Pro Temperature Error
HI All,
I've recently bought a new Ender 3 Pro V1.1.4 board and V1.1.6 firmware. After much frustration i have discovered that I needed to increase the temperature setpoint to 240C to extrude PLA. I measured the nozzle temp with an external thermoucouple and it was indicating 210C (still pretty high for PLA). I've tried replacing the Thermister with a b3950 100k NTC but still getting very similar results. At the moment I'm concluding there is an issue with the firmware compilation,...

Ender 3 Pro Extruder Stepper debugging - sanity check?
Hi. New member here with a real head scratcher. I'd really appreciate any advice.
I have an Ender 3 Pro, sold by Sain Smart, which I believe is an OEM of Creality. It seems to be identical to a Creality unit, other than the printing on the metal and some graphics on the LCD (presumably custom firmware).
This all started with problems with the filament not feeding smoothly such that the extruder stepper would slip back with a loud "chunk". I determined that the...
