  • Hi besieloff,

I believe you are correct on how the BL Touch works. I believe it creates a "map" of the bed surface and it calculates the correct distance from the bed based on that map on where to extrude the layer. As far as the start G Code you will need to look in your slicer settings for where this is. If you are just using the slicer that comes with the CR-10 V2 then you should see a tab at the top that shows "Start/End-GCode."

    Click on that and...

  • BL Touch installation instructions for CR-10 V2

So I purchased the BL Touch upgrade for the CR-10 V2 and quickly found out that there are not a cohesive set of instructions available on Creality's site. The video is helpful but there are some steps and explanations left out. Once I finally figured it out and had it working I wrote down the steps that I went through. Please do not take the following steps as gospel and I am not responsible for any damage caused if you do follow these instructions. These are just the steps that I took and though...

That CR-6 looks like a Cadillac Ender3. Has all the bells and whistles. Seeing that you want to print RC parts, I recommend the CR-10 for build volume.

For $500 to $600 you could get two Ender3 printers and do a lot of upgrades to both. One for you, one for Mrs. Av8er. I would think you want to print PETG for RC and your wife PLA for houses and figurines. You can get started with a stock Ender3 but I suggest changing the controller board to Creality's quiet board or a SKR mini...

  • May have ruined my CR-10 V2. Need advice for fixing it.

I was attempting to install a BLTouch on my CR10 V2. Every tutorial had conflicting info. My BLTouch has white, black, red, brown, and yellow/orange wires. I attempted to install it as I saw in the official creality video. I turned it on, heard and saw a pop. It smells. The fan runs when it is on but the screen will not turn on. I assume a capacitor popped due to polarity being reversed. What steps can I take now? I have soldering experience, so I'm hoping I can just replace the capacitor, not the...

    Leveling Creality CR-10 S5

    Hello dear community,

    I bought a creality cr-10 s5 printer with a 500x500mm glass plate.

I have the pre-installed firmware on the printer.

I tried to level the print bed, unfortunately without success. everything fits perfectly with the other four level points. as soon as i place the printhead directly in the middle of the plate, it is ready.

Does anyone have any experience of how I can best do leveling here?

    new firmware? or are there...

    Bought myself a Creality CR-10

    Hello All,

New to 3D printing, it was meant to kill some time during the corona crisis. But I must say it is addictive. After 5 days of leveling, tightening screws ans so on the prints worked out pretty well.
Bought some nice new nozzles 0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8 hardened steel. I'm really in to it. Even bought an airbrush system, as kids of a friend would like to have a baby Yoda. ...

  • Questions about printers and CAD Softwares

    Greetings to all,

I've been fancying the idea to get myself a 3D printer for over a year and I believe that it is time to seriously look into that hobby. As I stated in my intro thread, I'm a mine technician specialized in mine design on CAD software (AutoCAD and Deswik.CAD).

That being said, I've began to do some research on different printers available. Given I don't want to spend over 500$ on my first printer and since I've got a Prime account with Amazon, I'll more...

  • Creality CR-10 - BiPolar or UniPolar Steppers? Does it matter?

Going to be changing out the stepper motor on the extruder on a CR-10S; does it matter if the steppers are BiPolar or UniPolar? Is there a difference? Which is better? Do I have to modify anything within the code or firmware? Please advise. THANKS!
