    T-glase post-print cleanup?

Searched to no avail. Currently printing a vase I found on Thingiverse for my wife in t-glase (PETT, Taulman). I've seen tricks for cleaning up ABS prints with acetone. Is there something like that for PETT? It's already pretty glossy, the goal would be to make the surface smoother without sanding. Sanding this particular shape might be a lost cause:

Taulman has a write up about this. You can find that here. Their goal was not just to smooth the item, but to improve the clarity. That said, the Smooth-On XTC-3D product they mention is specifically made to smooth prints. It's not cheap, but I have heard good things about it.

Once I start printing T-Glass again ill be getting the smooth-on product. The results are pretty hard to beat on Taulman's website imo.

got the XTC-3D and tried it on a small ABS fan speed control bracket I designed and printed. also tried it on the PLA handles I built for my exhaust hood. I did quick application job as you can see by the pic, but it seems to work pretty well! let me know what you think.Click image for larger version

Is that completely covered creativedoc? Do you happen to have a pre XTC photo?

I didn't think to take a before pic sadly, but there was quite a bit of layer texture on the outside walls that was very noticeable. if you zoom in on the pic the inside is not coated, and I did lightly sand the inside for good fit of the speed control box that's going in it. I can't wait to see what it will do for the Blue T-glase I ordered for my Toyota Emblem project.

that's what sold me on it, seeing the difference in clarity of that cylinder after they applied it. I am really interested to see how well it works on the colored stuff, since I plan on foil backing the Toyota emblem and putting a few LED's on the back to really make it pop!

If anything it should really smooth the print out and add consistency in the clarity
