    Tpu and hydraulic oil

    Hey!

Does Tpu fillament work against hydraulic Oil?
Or will the tpu disolve in contact with the Oil?

Have a project with hydraulic cylinders, where I Will try to print hydraulic piston and Rod seals.
Can not find anything on this subject out there.

    Does any one know?

Also if anyone has some sealdesigns it would be nice if you shared.

    Let me know!

short answer yes its safe but only if you get the right stuff. someone can make a counter example I'm sure. check what additives are in your hydraulic oil. check the datasheet of the TPU. read this.

the biggest problem with elastomers is related to butyl+oil where oil can be a solvent to butyl.
