I'm not using the cavity for the spool under the bed. I lined it with heater insulation material (1/4" thick) and placed 4 hand warmers with a silicon gel pak inside. It provided a little heat but not a lot.
I was wondering if a plate could be made and a 12V or whatever voltage is needed to run a heating element that would be removable.
I have had a few larger prints turn into a disaster.
I'm also thinking of printing some ductwork for the 20MM fan and mounting it on top so there are no moving parts around the guide rods (it might be quieter also)
All in all, not a bad little setup. I've had a large percentage of successful prints using the PLA filament.
Interested in any mods that people have done and been successful with.
There is room for some small improvements.
Cheers for all 3DM builders....Ideas, Ideas, Ideas....
I'd also be interested to know if someone has printed a motorcycle frame/chassis and to what thickness should the walls be.
