I would like to own this printer as it would be an amazing first printer for me. It would create an amazing starter point for me to get creating and printing. I could create so many things including some adaptions that I have designed for myself and my dad as we are disabled. Thank you for this opportunity.

I am currently an engineering student and I am very interested in the 3d printing industry. I have used my local library's printer to make small knick-knack type models but could use is printer so that I can print larger more practical models. I have researched this printer and am very impressed with the specs, but could never convince myself to commit. Thank you!!

I would like to win this 3D printer because it has a bigger print volume than my current printer and I enjoy building things.

I'd love this for a number of reasons. It has larger print base than I currently have (x2), flexibility is also important. I'm constantly design and building new projects that cross over into various areas and this would let me me step up my skills and scale of my work. Super happy you're doing this giveaway!!

I have honestly never won any free gifiting events in my entire life(19 years only hehe), i recently gotten into 3D printing and hell i finally understood the significance of 0.1mm through cheap 3D printers (i am training to be an mechanical engineer).Since young when i was 15-16?my school had a 3D printer and it was the makerbot replicator and i always thought than that 3D printers were always expensive and out of reach until the explosion of cheap china printers, these printers are good and i am surprised at what patience + few hundred bucks can get you(sick prints), i am currently using creality ender 2 printer to do small scale mechanical prototype part!!That being said i hope to win this printer and let it be my next collection!!If i do win i will be donating my CR ender 2 to my cousin (dont worry it is well maintained) and go ahead and try the ANET series!!Have never tried it before and would be stoked to win one!!!Thanks for reading!!:-)

I would love to win an Anet A8, I am starting a small tabletop game business designing new tabletop games. I have one mostly worked out, and two more on the back burner. With the aid of the Anet A8, I would be able to do my own prototyping. (I am also planning on making my own custom PC case to resemble the Star Wars AT-AT. The printer would help make this design much more possible with my limited budget. (It would also make my D&D group much more entertaining when I bring out 3d printed buildings and dungeon models)

I would love the chance to win this printer so that I will be able to a great functional printer that I can build, upgrade, learn, teach, and grow with my daughter. She loves working with our current printer but it is a pre-built unit. I want her to be able to help build this and learn from the ground up how the printer works, what the parts do, and why. She loves building things and printing projects with me so having a solid kit to build with her would be great!

Best of luck to everyone that enters and thank you for the chance to win admins and GearBest!

Would love to receive this printer to increase printing capacity, and for having a different form factor to play with. I have had my current printer for over 2 yrs and it has definitely seen better days. A new printer would continue my experience in the dark arts of 3D printing, and allow me to further my education.

I have one of these already, which I bought off of Gear Best. I love this printer and would like another one so I can donate it to the local high school where I live as they have a great manufacturing and Tech class, but no budget.

I would love to win this 3D Printer , here is why , I would like to win this 3D printer for alot of reasons , one- it would help me create things that is only imaginable to me, under the constant red tape that surrounds my idea's are somewhat reasonably out of reach due to restraints and such precision , precision that to some come at a hefty price , for instance a CNC'd mechanical part that is needed to complete a craft and without that cnc'd part the whole is pointless , unless funds are not an issue sure , splurge on that part to make the craft work , but to someone like me , simplification is relevant and vision of a complete true , two- I wanted nay I "need" such a machine to be able to utilise some of my idea's. three- research 3d printing its perfect for beginners like me "well I have not begun yet" but building it up from the ground up is valuable information. four- I was in the ball park area equity wise for one of these machines and needed to know from other 3d printer users what their thoughts were , hence googling 3d printing forum and bam im here , I was in the process of making a thread relating to whether I should consider an option of 1-3 printers when I came across this post and well, I immediately made an account to post in this thread. five- im still within the time amounted in the prize give away , yes!!. six- my likeness to models and tinkering is ousted by over imaginative concoctions, so basically I want to create better stuff all the time and normally that is done with my noggin stuff that only make sense to me, to name an example , say you looking at a figurine and it looks like it was just one big mold , in my head I would mold the objects that pertain to the figurine like armour its gauntlets, paint the object , perhaps apply paper mache or simply electroplate it ... anyways ..... I would like to win the 3D printer not only because its cool to have one but because its practical that I have one, another example , fishing lures can be better , they never look like fish in the shops well the majority do not , I can make them better , building better things perfecting it crafting it , how from drawing CAD on paper with a pencil turned into holding shift key on the keyboard , I would really like to win this 3D printer ! I have alot more reasons just to name some for the sake of this thread I will keep it brief

I want to win this printer to get me started in 3D printing. I heard lots of goods things about this model and I think I would be a perfect printer to start with. Last but not least I want to use the printer to show my son the possibilities and awesomeness of mechanical engineering. And that with the right tools the sky is the limit.

I have been researching 3D printers for a while now and have chosen the Anet A8 as my preferred option. I am a Primary School Teacher with a keen interest in STEM, I am head of computing and run two computing and robotics after school clubs. I have been looking for a 3D printer to provide a stimulant to engage children providing them with the opportunity to build their own customised robot parts and see their own designs come to life.

A 3D printer will help towards my goal of getting children to become creators not passive users of technology.

I would like to own this printer so that I can design and build prototypes for multiple applications. My primary application would be jewelry findings. I think this would also be a great opportunity to get my daughters involved in the creative process, where we could work side by side learning each step of the process. Having to build the printer first would give them a better understanding of how it operates and how to problem solve of when things aren't working as designed.

                                            Thanks for running his contest!

During university I worked to help develop methods for creating rapid-fabricated molds for designer ceramic (slip-casted) goods and soft-robotic (silicone-casted) systems. It's been a number of years since those days and I am interested in getting back to work, this time with an off-the-shelf printer and my handy HD camera so that I can share my processes for free over youtube and show that 3D printing isn't just for printing plastic trinkets. In addition, I'm really itching to create a few detailed hands-on video series on topics like proper post-print quality control, parametric design for 3D printed mold/jig making using Fusion 360, and how to best use an idle home-printer to help others via friendly communities such as 3dprintingforum.org or reddit's Print It Forward board.

If you think this is a worthy cause, I would be more than happy to make a full series of videos fully detailing the assembly, tuning, and enjoyment of using the printer on top of the aforementioned text review for the forum.

                                            Cheers!

My hobby is Remote Controlled Aircraft, and since I live in country (Croatia) that has no RC shop or place where to purchase certain materials like depron, foamboard, balsa....for my builds I use wall insulation materials.
3D printer is excellent tool for making those small (and big) accessories like motor mounts, FPV camera mounts, scale details.....and of course, as I have seen on some web pages, I could even print an RC airplane
Creating an modifying certain parts of a flying vehicle or even designing my own aircraft is one thing I would do if I have my own 3D printer.

I have a 4 year old son and a 1 year old daughter and I'm raising them both to be makers. I would use this 3D printer to enable my kids to CREATE the things they want rather than to BUY them. My son already builds arduino based projects with me and is convinced that the best things he has were made at our house by us; a good quality 3D printer would enable him to transition from electronic gadgets to physical toys and useful items. He already has a wishlist of things to print, starting with a set of "ribs" we would use as a structure to bend/hold plexiglass as a plow to attach to his power-wheels jeep; a set of tire-wraps to give him traction in the winter; and a small gear-box to act as a winch to raise and lower his home-made plow. We will build all of this by this winter with or without the 3D printer, but it would be so much better to do it WITH the printer!
