Does anybody know how to change the output of the z sensor from active high to activate low (change from non sensor to PNP sensor)

most industrial proximity sensors are PNP although NPN are available but I assume you either had a NPN and switching to PNP or firmware setting is not working right . Provided the right electronics is in place you can change what you want in the ? whatever firmware you have either thru EPROM (easiest) or you will need to modify the config file. But since we don't know what you have more info needed to be of any more help
