Hi everyone - I have just purchased a V3 )Vortex 3 - The magazine partworks 3d printer) from ebay as a Spares/Repair & after much rebiulding it works - But I dont have the partworks for reference on a few things - like firmware update etc.. - Anyone out there with any experience with this machine ?
Hi there - No don't have mags as I got from ebay part finished - all there apart from hood - rebuild now and working but I don't know how to update firmware - Issue i have is that it doesn't centre on heated bed - and doesn't stop at the endstops - falls just short - I don't want to fully put all plastics back until I have it fully sorted - I feel that there may be some mods or tweaks to come as people finish their build - overall it prints really well (so far only done the ultimaker robot but that looks great) - Do you know if you can add a screen to it and does the micro sd card bit work - Sorry for all the questions but this printer is new to me & there doesn't seem to be many tech resources for it - I also have Prusa i3 & Flashforge finder
You can try here: http://v3uc.com/ they seem to be more dedicated to the printer. They have a section about adding a screen. I think the SD card slot is turned off in Firmware but might be turned on soon.
