    You could call it George if you wanted ??

    Seriously, it will generally be an XY printer, that has 1 lead screw & two Vertical rod guides with Linear bearing for the build plate.

    The other configuration is generally an i3 set up originally developed by Joseph Prusa some years ago..... Both have their own advantages & disadvantages.
    The i3 set up has been ripped & copied the world over, but a self build kit can be got for at little as $/£120. The other populare cheap i3 kit is an Anet A8.
    the Anet kit has a huge following & you will get lots of user advise on this specific kit - they have sold millions of them, so information & upgrades are very easy to learn about.
