    DIY 3D Printer progress

Still a little more to do on the printer but its coming on slowly. Waiting on nuts and bolts, belts, Wire, Limit switches, some fans and a alu plate, Still need to finish the cross shaped z axis. Build area is smaller than i was hoping but this was due to changes in the z axis design.

Info - Design is based off https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2423066
    My modifications
    1) Modified carriage : Current Material PLA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icWlVEwQ9t4
    2) Custom z axis cross shaped : Material PTEG
    3) Modified motor mounts : Current Material PLA.
    4) Extruder - Design is taken from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2386804 Material PTEG
    5) Custom Endstops with and without limit switches : Material PTEG

    X AXIS ; 2 MOTORS
    Y AXIS : 2 MOTORS
    Z AXIS ; 1 MOTOR
    EXTRUDERS : 2 MOTORS

    EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS 600MM (23.6INCHES) CUBED
BUILD AREA - CURRENT 435MM (17.1") X 435MM X 500MM (19.6"). However by having two extruders will also mean a reduction in build area per extruder.
Im planning on modifying the extruder mount later on too squeeze a extra 15MM for a maximum of 450MM (17.7")

Material print settings. What i use. as the max temp from my current printer is a extruder temp of 219c . & Anything over 219C for the warm up and the printer stops and cools down, However if i start the print at 219C, As soon as the extruder moves to start the print, i increase it up to 225C, That works, and then Bed 79C, Which is my max Bed temp. So you can see why i want a new printer.

    PLA -
    Extruder temp: 208C
    Bed temp: 70C
    speed: 49MM/S
    Extruder cooling fan: 50%
    Part cooling fan: 100%
    Adhesion type: BRIM
    Infill: 55%

    PTEG -
    Extruder temp: 225C
    Bed temp: 79C
    speed: 45MM/S
    Extruder cooling fan: 70%
    Part cooling fan: OFF
Adhesion type: BLUE PAINTERS TAPE & RAFT
    Infill: 40 - 45%
