Properties for hard to print part

My school's club is offering 3d prints and I'm in charge of making them. My first order is ready but it's really complicated, heavy and thin. There's no way a printer could manage it.
Any ideas on what printing properties might get it out right? I'm using PLA with a makerbot replicator (not sure which one, but it's old), and the piece is to be 5 inches tall total
    Thanks!

A lot of overhanging / overlapping geometry in that print. Your only options to me would be to enable support all over and take the hit on print and cleanup time, or split up the design, reposition the components more optimally for printing, and then assemble it together. Also, it appears to be outside of the build area, so you would probably need to scale it down as well.
