I agree hdejong, it does seem a little "out there", but they probably said that about the airplane 100 years ago.He received a ton of money to work out the kinks and refine things, and I am sure that there are others working on this same process, so it will be interesting to see where this leads.

To me this technology seems a little far-fetched in todays world. But, if he thinks he can achieve it and has the backers to do so then go for it. I am excited to see where this technology goes if it is possible to achieve it.

I have been following this guy since I discovered him on a crowd sourcing site. He proposes a completly different method of printing 3D. I don't have the tech background to understand if this is better or worse, or even achievable, but the video is certainly impressive.
Is this the future of 3D printing?
