MY motivation on why I got into 3d printing was to make my own super robot figures. I already modelled and printed other robot figures but this one is my biggest project. I've always loved Mighty Orbots as a kid and was really sad when it was cancelled due to issues with Tonka. Ever since a friend gave me a Jumbo machinder Reideen I've been in love with big robot figures since they are perfect as display pieces. I decided to make a Mighty Orbot jumbo since there isn't one and even a licensed toy wasn't even released. This took me a month to complete since the hardest part was prepping and painting. Since this is a jumbo style figure only the head and and arms are movable.

This is the fully painted piece. Took a long time for me to smoothen out the whole figure but it was worth it. This figure stands at 2 feet tall. I plan on making another jumbo figure from the robot models I've already made but I still need funds for more filaments.

Thanks, took a lot of sanding with putty to make it smooth. I still need a lot of improving with my current smootbing method. I can't use the acetone method as pure acetone is banned in my country.Comment
