Creality Ultrabase glass bed adhesion getting poor

I recently bought a Crealtiy Ultrabase glass bed. It worked just great for 10 PLA prints, then slowly started to loose adhesion. I cleaned it with alcohol and it started to stick again, but after a few prints it completely lost adhesion. No amount of cleaning with alcohol can make this bed stick. Drives me nuts. I had the same problem with glass mirror plates from Ikea. Stuck like fury at first but then stopped working altogether despite alcohol cleaning. I tried different bed temps ( usually 50C on all my PLA prints ), different PLA brands and colours, all my Cura profiles. No dice. Nothing sticks. What is happening here?

I noticed on the Ultrabase that despite there being no visible deposits on the surface of the plate I had colour on the rag I used with the alcohol, same colour as the PLA I was using. This suggests that there is something like a plastic vapour being emitted by the print head that gradually builds up. I would think the alcohol would remove this but maybe not completely? So it builds up until new plastic won't stick? Can't be just me. Are other users finding these problems?

I have this same problem with my new ender 3 V2. Stuck great the first few prints now nothing will stick no matter what I clean it with.

It is interesting that you are having the same problem. The vendor I bought my build plates from says he hasn't heard about this for the magnetic and glass build plates but is willing to take them back and test them at his facility. I am sending them back tomorrow. I will be very curious to see if they work at his shop. In the meantime it is back to the original build plate that came with the CR-20 and lots of gluestick. At least that never fails.

From what I am getting from most sites is that it is a leveling issue. Here is what I got from someone on FB:

I had same experience. I did wash with soap, IPA, glue stick but still happen then i did bed levelling again but this time I calibrate 3 round. I calibrate from bottom left, bottom right, upper left, upper right, back to bottom left, bottom right, upper right, upper left, back to bottom left and do 1 more round. It worked like charm.
