On my Anet A8 the lower plate is threaded, so you have to adjust the height with a screwdriver from the top and the wingnut simply locks the adjustment when done.
I'm thinking of drilling out the lower plate so that the height can be adjusted using the wingnuts or thumbscrews.
Not only do I think this would be more convenient but it means I can use a square piece of glass on the bed.
Anything wrong with this idea?
Cheers,
Nigel
