    Cube 3 3D printer

Anyone have one of these and if so how does it perform? I can't seem to find any info or reviews on the web. It'd almost like this machine doesn't even exist.

    Thanks

Hey there! I'm a reseller of 3D printers, and we've had a Cube 3 in our office for about 3 weeks. The short version of the story is this:

It makes AMAZING quality prints for the price.
Some of our Cube 3 customers have experienced filament jams. We haven't run into that yet ourselves, but it doesn't seem like an uncommon problem. We've talked to 3D Systems, and it sounds like they have a firmware fix coming out that should help with the jams.
The material is expensive. About 3.5x what MakerBot filament is, gram for gram.

That being said, for $999, it's a great little machine, just be aware of the higher material costs and some filament jamming tendencies.

Thanks for the response! Just looking for something i don't really need to tinker with and can start printing decent waulity prints. I had a solidoodle press and had bad luck with my ubit. I ended up returning it and now I'm waiting to decide what I want to buy for my next 3d printer

Its all going to come down to cost in the end. UP (PP3DP/ Tiertime) have produced some fine printers, The UP Plus 2 features automated leveling and calibration and has some good reviews. One of their latest offerings the UP! Mini is about half the price ( we are a UK based 3D printer seller so the cost is in GBP) is about £534 (incl VAT) - https://www.idig3dprinting.co.uk/sho...ni-3d-printer/ . The UP range of printers also give you the ability to source your own filament.

The advatage of a machine like the Cube 3 is it is designed as a whole with software, filament and 3D printer. They are good machines too and will give you that Press-and_go style of printer. There are some advantages to using a prinetr with cartridges as well and the Cube 3 has two extruders so you can use PLA for supports and ABS for the actual model or print in two different colours.

I would also consider Craigslist for printers. I'm picking up a Makerbot Rep 2 for almost half the cost. However, just like a used car, you will inherit anything that's wrong with it the previous owner experienced.

Iv tried that but no luck. I actually got what I think is a good deal today. Staples had a 15% off coupon and they honored it. I ended up with a cube 3 for 900
