Which 3D printres can make nice looking transparent objects?

Hello, I have used several 3D printers such as the Up Plus 2, Makerbot 2, Stratasys uPrint 2 SE.

I am considering to buy a 3D printer for home use. It must be able to have a large print volume (at least 28-30cm in one direction). In addition, it should be able to print transparent objects nicely and clearly. In the past, I tried to print transparent objects using the Makerbot 2 and PLA. The outputs were not very transparent even the filament was transparent.

Anybody printed transparent objects using the Ultimaker 2/3 Extended, Raise3D N2, Up Box +, and LulzBot TAZ 6 (not impressed by the print sample)? How is the print quality?

    Any recommendation appreciated. Thank you.

For transparent parts you may want to consider a vacuum former and sheets of plastic. The refraction through the curved layers can be negated by post processing but you won't get a fully clear print.

I plan to put the machine in my small bedroom so any industrial equipment is out of the question.

Almost any kind of 3D printer could get you a transparent 3D printed object. You could make use of either a desktop 3D printer or any industrial 3D printer to get the object you desire, but with the use of a good quality 3D printing filament.

As far as printing fully transparent objects you'd probably get closest with a SLA or DLP printer, though I'm not sure if they'll meet your size requirements.

As far as the suggestion of a vacuformer, you could make one that wouldn't take much room. I saw a lot of them on Instructables of varying size and complexity. It's easier than it sounds.
