  • Makerbot Desktop problem

Hi, I am trying to make a pattern for bronze casting but I have run into problems causing Makerbot to generate odd code. The model is designed in Sketchup Make and I have put the file into dropbox. If anyone could have a look at it, I would be happy if anyone can spot any reasons why the square hole in the middle gets missed in the generated x3g file. Also various artifacts are generated and holes are in the print. It looks as though I am going to redraw the whole thing as I think I have left some odd lines in there somewhere that are upsetting the integrity of the model.

I have drawn the thing upside down as it has a large internal cavity and I don't want to have to use a lot of plastic to make internal supports when printing.

Please help me before I pull out all of my remaining hair !!!

BTW it is a lamp base.

    Cheers

    Rob
