You are burning out the voltage regulator the Arduino can't take 24 volt input? are you using a ramps board on top of Mega. Are you connecting printer to computer via usb

Hi Roger3d thanks for reply ☺️ currently i am using 12 v power supply ,also using ramps board. I first copied the program to ardouino and then connected it to board and supply still it got burnt

I f you have an LCD screen connected as well it sometimes draws too much current for the Arduino on board regulator to handle it. On the ramps board under the stepper driver board for the x axis beside the jumper pins is a diode that you need to remove (black tube with silver band) when you do this the LCD will only light up when a computer is connected via USB cable and this powers the Arduino low voltage circuits the 12 volts remains on the ramps to supply steppers and heaters . Without the diode there is no 12 volt supplying the Arduino any more so it will need that USB cable for 5 volts. Other alternative is to replace the 5 volt onboard regulator with one of higher current with a heatsink and mount it off the board and run wires to Arduino. an external 5 volt regulator. You may be able to still use those boards if you remove the burnt part and use USB power.
