3d printer under £200?

    3d printer under £200?

    Hi guys...

    Well, I've finally managed to save up some money, and actually have £200 to spend on a printer (6 months without any income put that plan on hold for a while)
    Before, I'd got my heart set on a fabrikator mini which it would seem are no longer for sale...

    So now its back to the drawing board anyone know of an acceptable printer for under £200? I dont need a big build area. More importantly I'm not affraid to get my hands dirty and put a kit together, but it has to be simple enough to do with my limited ability (computers I can build fine, wood work easy, for some reason, I never got my head round anything that moves), what I really dont want to do is make it from scratch, or I'll spend the next millennia debating which motors to get (and thats before I get onto an extruder or hot end...)

    just seen the RepRap Prusa i3 which looks good... So keeping an eye on that too lol

      I have an Alunar which is a prusa i3 clone....very pleased with it and cost me around 260$...which can't be far of 200 quid can it?

        yup, $260 (USD) is currently worth £210... and the exchange rate is only getting worse since brit ex...

        I've been looking at this one which looks like a i3 clone... Going to have to look up the "offical" instructions and see whats what.
        I'm toying with the idea of making a smaller one later once I've got some more experience under my belt.

          Wow is that fabrikator mini ever small!

          I ended up getting my printer through www.3dprintersonlinestore.com, as far as I can tell they just broker for other 3D printer manufacturers (but they usually include free shipping and aren't really marked up much from what I can tell). They have a number of inexpensive, but decent looking, printers in your price range.

            Isnt it just. I liked the look of it because of its tiny size, since I only really wanted it for a bit of fun. it would fit right next to my pc with no problem and without having to build a new shelf. With the I3, I'm going to have to build a new shelf, but it'll give me room to store some of my more liked prints next to my printer (and a role or 2 of fillament too)

            thanks for the link. I'll take a look at that. A bit more expensive than the one I was looking at, but comes with a role of fillament and an extra nozzle... Well worth the extra price

              so, I've decided on the perusa i3 (or more to the point this clone)
              So time to clear some space. Once I've got it, I'll be doing a couple of writeup's\video's to show people about the assembly and what not

                      Is 220×220×220 good because i ha ve tronxy that i bought from gearbest fo €140 so aroun£120 it was on flash sale in eu warhouse if you print z brackets from thingiverse it will preform quiye wel it capable of.1
