    Hello from TheRandyOne
    Hi all.

Just built my first printer. 10 hours of building and all I got was some curly plastic

I expected failure on the first attempt though.

I'm interested in how the printers work and how I can use the tech in other ways. Having a printer to print parts is also ideal.

Hoping that someone can help me with my z axis issue though. I have no idea what I am doing yet...

It seems to be ok when auto homing. The z axis is causing me no end of trouble though.
When I level the bed and then get the printer to print from the SD Card. The printer will run the print head down into the

    Assistance with parts
I have had a prusa i3 for 4 years. I purchased as a kit and got ripped off, short story, I have rebuilt electric parts but may need someone to print 2 or three parts to finish it. Iíll pay to have them printed if someone in Australia is willing to do so. I have some great ideas for printing things for my prosthetic leg and would like to finally see this thing working. If anyone is willing please message me.

Print overhangs failing to stay cool???
Recently, my Monoprice Select Mini v2's hotend fan was broken, and I replaced it with a cheap Amazon replacement. It fits and cools great, but overhangs cause a big problem. I have uploaded a livestrem of me printing with the new fan. The benchy I printed came out looking like the layers were not cooling right. Here is a link to the video... ***Start the video @39:00 minutes into it.

    Looking for my first printer
Looking for my first printer, been watching the 3d printer tech evolve pretty closely for past few years and im finally ready to dive in. But there are so many on the market ive got to a point im having a hard time pulling the trigger on one.

Ill start by listing what i want out of it. I want to be able to print usable parts, im not a artist type looking to print knick knacks to put on your desk or figurines, im looking to print parts that work for way to many hobbies to list. Thus...

New to 3d Printing - Just built a Anet A6
Hello Everyone, I am new to printing and have just built my first printer the Anet A6. It went together well and seems to work well at first. I am having problems when I try to print a file that I have downloaded from Thingiverse, the printer alignment is wrong and it starts printing with the print bed all the way back and left, prints off the hot bed. Has anyone experienced this problem before I don't know how to fix it. I am using Cura 3.1 for slicing it looks like it works like it is suppose...

Filament Suggestions for Oil Catch Can
    Hello,

I'm part of an FSAE team at my university this year. One of my tasks is to make the oil catch can. I'd love to 3d print this in order to save weight, gain points in design(alternative material) and potentially save cost and time. We have a good amount of rapid prototyping experience but not with a material that must meet these demands. The catch can needs to be able to hold a liquid(perfect layer adhesion) and that liquid has the potential of seeing up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit....

New to 3D Printing - Problem with print quality - Help Needed
    Hiya

I'm new to 3D printing and am having the same recurring issues with my print

The stock prints supplied with the printer work fine but subsequent prints where I converts .stl files to GCode with Ultimaker Cura 3 results in a very honey comb print

I've attached a photo of the print, hopefully it shows what I mean

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

    Thanks in advance

    Ian...
